Success is one of those words that mean different meanings to different people. Some see it as having financial security, losing weight, learning the guitar, speed reading, or starting our own business. It can also mean having the ability to enjoy life on life’s terms. In-between lies all the other “definitions” of this much used and broad meaning word. Success is an ambition of nearly every person I know and nearly everyone agrees that it means having achieved “something”, where we enjoy a state of mind that allows us to congratulate ourselves of a job well done. So success is achieved by doing something, it doesn’t just happen without effort.
All of us want to succeed. For those of us who have tried and failed, success can seem incomprehensible. Why is it one person succeeds where another person fails? The answer starts with our mindset, our attitude, our way of thinking about success and the task we wish to achieve. Next comes our ability to develop positive life habits, successful people develop certain habits, either naturally or through research, that unsuccessful people haven’t stumbled upon yet.
So success can’t be guaranteed, although I deeply wish every reader of this article success, it can only be achieved by the person who works at achieving it and only you can do that. It must start in the mind and only then can your thoughts take physical form through your actions. Confidence in yourself is a necessity and that can be developed too! Action and more action is necessary to achieve success.
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand”. ~ Vince Lombardi
